Società Aretè offers services for archaeological, topographical and building survey by means of total stations, even in difficult environments, such as steep terrain and across small- and large-scale excavations.
The use of modern techniques means that surveys are executed in a highly efficient manner and ensures a high degree of accuracy for the documentation produced.
Additionally, if the client requests, we can prepare detailed maps, three-dimensional and photogrammetric surveys with hybrid systems, by combining digital cameras, total station and GPS receivers to obtain a geo-referenced photomosaic.
In recent years, great strides in technological innovation have allowed the opening of new frontiers in the field of survey. The search for greater precision and accuracy, but above all the need to detect an object in three dimensions in a single and instantaneous operation, have been satisfied with the creation of sophisticated instruments, such as the 3D laser scanner or GPS, and photogrammetric techniques capable of producing 3D digital models of real objects, such as photomodelling or 3D scanning via the camera.
Photomodelling can be interpreted as the process of the creation of 3D models from a series of photographs of an object and is based on the principles of monoscopic digital photogrammetry, that is the technique which permits the measuring of an object and of obtaining the position and dimensions directly from its frame; it is presented as a quick and immediate survey technique, even if the choice of survey method cannot be made regardless of the context in which it operates.
